Jointly developed by the World Bank’s Transport Global Practice, Open Learning Campus, UN Women’s Training Centre, and the Safe Cities and Safe Public Spaces Global Initiative, this course reveals the often-invisible gender issues within transport systems. It examines how “gender-blind” policies fail to meet the diverse mobility needs of users, especially women and girls. The course also tackles challenges women face in employment and leadership within the transport sector. Participants are introduced to concrete, actionable solutions that promote gender equality in transport planning, operations, and workforce participation. Knowledge checks and a final quiz ensure that learners retain key concepts and are ready to apply them in real-world contexts
