WBG Guarantees serves as a one-stop shop for all WBG guarantee business, providing clients with the best guarantee solutions to meet project needs and development priorities. The platform, housed at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), brings together products and experts from the World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC), and MIGA for simplicity, efficiency, and speed.
MIGA rolled out a WBG Guarantees learning program using a phased approach. In 2024, face-to-face training sessions were delivered in client countries. Self-paced learning assets providing an overview of the WBG Guarantees were also developed and launched. The next phase consists of delivering the WBG Guarantees academy in priority regions where guarantees are anticipated to grow.
As of February 2024, WBG Guarantees Academy has already commenced, with East Asia and Pacific region benefitting from the first two offerings. Additional deliveries will continue throughout 2025.
