Overview

According to the World Health Organization, about 1.3 billion people, or 16% of the global population, experience significant disability. Despite disability being a natural part of human diversity, learners with disabilities continue to face barriers that limit their participation and achievement in education. This module is part of a broader inclusive education course aimed at strengthening the capacity of both World Bank staff and partners to advance disability inclusion in education. It focuses on mainstreaming inclusive education and applying a twin-track approach, ensuring that learners with disabilities can thrive in general education systems while receiving necessary support. The module consists of two parts, totaling approximately three and a half hours, and includes curated resources and videos for deeper learning.
