Overview

This course examines the agricultural sector in Ethiopia, highlighting its sustained growth alongside economic development and poverty reduction. It explores Ethiopia's role as a hotspot for international agricultural research collaboration, with CGIAR centers working in partnership with the Ethiopian Institute for Agricultural Research. Participants will learn about 18 agricultural innovations that have the potential to be disseminated at scale and integrated into the 2018/19 Ethiopian Socioeconomic Survey (ESS). The course demonstrates significant adoption of these innovations among smallholders, poor households, and young and female farmers. By the end, participants will understand how these innovations contribute to improving agricultural outcomes and support inclusive growth.
