This five-session seminar focuses on helping national statistical offices produce better gender data. improving gender data. Accurate data helps address gender disparities and design more effective policies, but significant gaps remain, with only 42% of gender-specific SDG indicators being available globally and most data being outdated. Overview

This five-session seminar focuses on improving gender data and aligns with the World Bank Group's data agenda and the Global Data Facility’s mission to reduce poverty and promote shared prosperity. It addresses the significant gaps in gender data, where only 42% of gender-specific SDG indicators are globally available, and much of the data is outdated. C-led by the Poverty Global Department, the Gender Group, and the Living Standards Measurement Study team, the seminar series covers the full gender data life cycle—from collection to dissemination. Participants will explore best practices in survey design, data analysis, and visualizations to support National Statistics Offices in producing gender indicators. Through this course, countries will gain the tools needed to align their data with international standards and help close gender data gaps.
