The JLN Efficiency Collaborative was launched in 2017 to help countries improve the efficient use of health resources through shared learning and practical solutions. Early discussions identified Systematic Priority setting and efficiency measurement as key challenges, leading to two dedicated workstreams. Since then, the collaborative has engaged policymakers from over a dozen countries through in-person and virtual exchanges, producing tools and frameworks for evidence-based decision-making. In its second phase, the collaborative focused on revising health benefit packages, co-creating guidance on analytical approaches, evidence use, and policy dialogue for sustainable reforms. By fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, the Efficiency Collaborative empowers countries to achieve better health outcomes with the resources they have.
