This course provides social protection practitioners with practical insights on leveraging safety nets to prevent gender-based violence (GBV). It emphasizes how GBV undermines social protection objectives by eroding human capital, productivity, and well-being, while increasing the vulnerability of women and children. The course is based on the operational toolkit called Safety First, which offers strategies for incorporating GBV prevention measures into safety nets. Participants will explore effective ways to integrate these prevention strategies into social protection programs. The course aims to equip practitioners with tools to address GBV within the context of social protection.
