Overview

This program combines three days of in-person sessions at IESE Business School in Barcelona with two field visits:

  • Module 1—Cluster Policies: Case studies to introduce agglomeration economics, industrial districts, or clusters 
  • Module 2—Industry Analysis: The concepts of Industrial Organization and competition within a specific industry, applying Porter’s 5 forces to multiple examples. 
  • Module 3—Sustainability: This module introduces the concept of sustainability as a component of company and cluster strategies. 
  • The two field visits to sector specific public infrastructure, a testing centre for e-motors and cars, and a joint wastewater facility for the Leather Cluster.
